How Long Does a Full Car Detail Take?
Most of a day. An interior or exterior detail on its own takes a few hours, and a deep clean on a big SUV, truck or van can run longer.
Typical Times
- Interior or exterior detail: a few hours
- Full detail: most of a day
- Deep Clean or Deep Ultimate: most of a day, sometimes longer on large vehicles
- Ceramic coating: one to three days, depending on the correction included
What Makes It Take Longer
- Pet hair woven into carpet and seats
- Heavy mud, tar or a dirty truck bed
- Stains that need shampoo and drying time
- Vehicle size: a van has far more interior than a coupe
